Life In Longmont

Planning out your summer activities? Be sure to put the boulder county fair on your list of summer fun here in Longmont!

This year it will be August 11-14th with all the public activities and the pre-fair exhibition events happening the 2nd-9th of August at the Boulder County Fair Grounds

We enjoyed taking the kids during the day! I highly recommend going first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon to beat the heat and don’t forget your water bottles!

What’s a trip to the carnival without getting your face painted!

Guess who wanted to ride the 4-wheeler ride again and again ang again and again. We appreciated they were shaded.

When we were done with the heat we headed into the exhibition center to enjoy some air conditioning and cold drinks and to watch the performances.

Some of the events to enjoy are: The 4-H Dairy Cattle Show, the Pee Wee Show, Kid’s corral and petting zoo, music and dancing, 4-H Animal Round Robin and so much more that our local community has to contribute such as the local seamstresses showcasing their quilting work etc.

In the winter we enjoyed going to the 4-H Carnival they also held here at the Boulder County fairgrounds. I donated to the Silent Auction they had arranged there and the kids had a great time.
