Family Friendly Theater in Boulder County

1. Candle Light Theater Company

Recently I took my daughter on a special outing here for her birthday. We saw Cinderella! Dinner theaters are such a fun experience.

It was magical. Here are some of the things that made it so…

a. They have delicious food, and what makes it more fun, is they theme it after the show, so vegetable soup and pumpkin bread pudding were just a few of the details that made it more fun

b. They involve the audience. At the intermission, you had the option to go buy a magic wand! And so naturally, we did. And we got to wave it as part of the magic in the final wedding at the end of the show. The way everything lit up was magical.

c. Dress up to be part of the fun! Not only did the occasional little girl get to dress up, but I saw many adults with their sparkly tiaras enjoying the fun, even if they were much older!

d. Getting to know the cast. Cast members wait on your table in some of the VIP sections, and that is naturally a blast.

e. Photo op: After the show, Cinderella and her prince were at the front with a decked-out setup awaiting those little princesses to do pictures with.

We can’t wait to go back! They typically put on 5 shows in a season and there is a mix in there of the family-friendly. We look forward to seeing The Little Mermaid in the summer of 2023. And are bummed we missed Singing in the Rain! We could have even sat in the “Splash Zone!”
