Best Mexican Food in Longmont

I love Mexican food! And every once in a while have a major craving to find good ol’ traditional Mexican food for dinner with the family.

Here are the favorites we have enjoyed so far in Longmont.

  1. Tres Margaritas

I grew up coming here as a kid and it has long been a family favorite. In addition to the hefty portions and amazing enchiladas, you cannot leave without getting their amazing sopapillas!

I love how festive this place is with all the color and unique painted tables. It is like having dinner in a beautiful Mexican art gallery.

2. Blue Agave

You can’t go wrong with a thing you order here. We love their tacos most.

3. Summit Tacos

This casual outdoor eatery combines the food truck experience with a leisurely outdoor dining one. The occasional outdoor entertainment adds to the fun. Movie nights and really a great date night stop. Carnitas are drool-worthy!

4. Cafe Rio

This is one of go-to’s as a family.

We pretty much can’t leave without getting the tres leches cake. We like to get the pork salad and burritos smothered in mole and of course the cilantro ranch dressing on the salad. Yum!

I typically love to grab some extra chips and pico to go.

5. Jefes Tacos

Yum! For a modern fun vibe, we enjoyed a visit to Jefes located in downtown Longmont. Indoor and outdoor dining. The decor here is also fun and yum, still thinking about the street corn. Carnitas for the win. El Pastor, Chili Verde were some of our melt-in-your-mouth favorites to name a few.
